Kishori Sammelan – Exposure Visit to Government Institutions

Dabhoi Community Foundation (DCF), in collaboration with the Sahiyar Sangathan Group, successfully organized a Kishori Sammelan for the adolescent girls of the Soneshwar UMMID Center. The initiative aimed to enhance their awareness and understanding of public systems and essential government services.

As part of the program, the participants were taken on an educational exposure visit to various key government institutions in Dabhoi.

The visit included:

• Police Station

• Nagar Palika (Municipality Office)

• Seva Sadan

• Court

• State Bank of India (SBI)

• Sahayog Center

During the visits, the girls were introduced to the roles, responsibilities, and functioning of these institutions. The interactive sessions provided them with valuable insights into legal systems, civic administration, financial services, and support mechanisms available within their community.

This exposure activity played a crucial role in building confidence among the participants and empowering them with knowledge about their rights, responsibilities, and access to essential services. It also encouraged them to actively engage with public institutions and become informed, responsible citizens.
