Last Saturday, we had the privilege of organizing a seminar for our young community on the important and timely topic of Cyber Crime and Safety. 85 young women participated, coming together to explore the potential dangers in today’s digital world and learn practical ways to stay safe online.
In this fast-paced, tech-driven age, it’s crucial to understand how fraud can happen and how we can protect ourselves. The seminar aimed to address key questions like: How can fraud occur in the digital world? How can we avoid falling victim to cybercrime? and How can we ensure our data and documents remain secure on our mobile devices?
During the seminar, we screened two insightful movies depicting real-world cyber safety scenarios. The movies effectively illustrated how we can protect our personal information, data, and devices from hacking, fraud, malware, and other cyber threats. These movies served as a guide, offering essential tips for safeguarding ourselves in the digital landscape.
The seminar concluded with an interactive session where the participants shared their thoughts and opinions on the topic. It was heartening to see the enthusiasm and keen interest of the young attendees, and we received valuable feedback from them regarding their experience and learnings.
We hope this seminar has equipped our participants with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate the online world safely and confidently, ensuring their safety in the ever-evolving digital space.
