Date: 18 July 2026

Participants: 50 Adolescent Girls

The Dabhoi Community Foundation organized an engaging Kishori Meeting at the Umeed Centre, Soneshwar, focusing on the important topic of "Social Media Awareness." The session aimed to help adolescent girls understand the responsible use of social media while protecting themselves from its potential risks.

The workshop combined educational videos, interactive discussions, real-life experiences, and case studies to create an engaging learning environment. Participants explored how social media influences daily life, how misinformation spreads, and the importance of verifying online content before sharing it with others.

The session also highlighted practical ways to stay safe in the digital world, including protecting personal information, recognizing online fraud and cyberbullying, understanding digital etiquette, and using social media responsibly. The participants were introduced to basic legal rights and safety guidelines related to online platforms, enabling them to make informed and responsible decisions in the digital space.

Through open conversations and active participation, the girls shared their own experiences and learned from one another, making the session both informative and relatable.

At Dabhoi Community Foundation, we believe that digital awareness is an essential life skill. By equipping young girls with the knowledge to navigate social media safely and responsibly, we are helping build a generation of informed, confident, and digitally empowered individuals.

Together, we continue to create safer digital spaces through awareness, education, and empowerment.
