On Holi, the festival of colors and happiness, on March 23rd, 2024, at the D.C.F. Center in Dabhoi, students from classes 1 to 9 gathered to celebrate this beloved Indian tradition.
Traditionally celebrated at two centers in Dabhoi, Hirabhagol and Soneshwar, Holi is celebrated with equal fervor in various village centers across the borders, especially centers inhabited by tribal communities.

The festival began with students happily greeting each other and their teachers with colorful gulal, a symbol of love and unity. The air was filled with laughter and camaraderie as everyone soaked up the playful spirit of the occasion.
Garba, a traditional dance form synonymous with the festival, added to the euphoric atmosphere as the students swayed to the rhythmic beats, lost in the joy of the moment.
As the day wore on, the spirit of giving prevailed, with students sharing dates and dhani (popcorn), symbolizing the spirit of sharing and abundance.
The essence of Holi lies not only in the colors that adorn our surroundings but also in the bonds of friendship and community that it fosters. It serves as a reminder of the importance of celebrating diversity and spreading happiness wherever we go.
