Leadership Training Camp – Vadali (Panchmahal)

Introduction
A two-day leadership training camp was organized at Vadali for selected youth members. The objective of the training was to instill leadership skills, self-awareness, and communication abilities in the participants, preparing them to be responsible and proactive members in their communities.
Day 1 Activities – 24th July 2025
Morning Session
The session began at 9:00 AM with a warm welcome. The trainer introduced the purpose of the camp and engaged participants in an introductory round to share their names and personal strengths.
Participants were asked thought-provoking questions:
What are your goals in life?
What motivates you?
What makes a good leader?
Why is it important to take initiative?
They were guided to explore their leadership potential and understand the importance of self-motivation, clear communication, and effective team participation.
Leadership Exercises
Key topics discussed:
What is leadership?
What is the role of a leader?
How should a leader communicate?
Where and how do leaders make an impact?
What does collaboration mean?
How do leaders solve problems?
What does effective communication look like?
The session included group reflections, encouraging participants to think critically about their leadership qualities and areas for growth.
Group Work
After lunch, a group activity on “Problem Solving” was held. Teams were given imaginary challenges to solve collaboratively, enhancing their decision-making and teamwork skills.
Evening Reflection
In the final session of Day 1, participants reflected on the question: “Who am I as a leader?”They wrote answers in their notebooks and shared insights with the group.
Day 2 Activities – 25th July 2025
The second day began with a group energizer. A session on “Communication in Leadership” followed, where each participant was encouraged to speak for one minute on a topic of their choice.
They discussed:
How to express opinions respectfully.
How leaders should communicate under pressure.
The Importance of Listening and Body Language.
Participants practiced peer feedback and engaged in interactive role-play exercises.
Team Building Tasks
The day included games and physical activities designed to improve trust and collaboration among participants.
Vision Board Activity
Participants created a “Vision Board” to reflect their goals and how they plan to contribute to their community as future leaders.
Key Learnings & Outcomes
Participants realized the importance of planning and organizing.
Many overcame their fear of public speaking.
Strong bonds were formed among team members.
Youth learned the value of clarity in vision, emotional balance, and confidence in execution.
All 23 youth showed noticeable change in their self-expression and teamwork.
Conclusion
This two-day camp was a meaningful journey of self-discovery, personal growth, and leadership development. Through discussions, practical sessions, and reflection, the participants developed a clearer understanding of themselves and their roles as community leaders.
