Today, our dental team visited Chanod Primary School in the Dabhoi area to conduct a Child Oral Health Awareness Camp. The goal of this initiative was to spread awareness about the importance of oral hygiene among children and to provide basic dental screenings.
They examined children in the 6 to 12-year age group. During the check-up, they identified several cases of rampant caries, tooth stains, and plaque accumulation near the gums. These conditions are commonly caused by a lack of regular tooth brushing and the excessive consumption of chocolates and sugary snacks.
Through our examination, we found 11 cases of dental caries that require attention.
As part of our awareness drive:
We distributed toothbrushes and toothpaste to the children.
We conducted an interactive session explaining the benefits of proper tooth brushing.
Children were guided on the correct brushing technique and encouraged to brush twice a day—once in the morning and once before bed—for maintaining good oral health.
The camp was well-received by the school staff and students, and we are hopeful that our small effort will lead to healthier smiles and better oral hygiene habits in the future.
Together, let's build a future with brighter, healthier smiles!
