A Unique Approach to Learning Through Play: 2-Day Training for Bridge Course Teachers

At the Dabhoi Community Foundation, we believe that true education goes beyond textbooks — it’s about nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child.

In collaboration with the Dr. K.R. Shroff Foundation, we recently organized a 2-day Student Development Activities Training for our Bridge Course teachers. This program aimed to help children learn fundamental education through fun and interactive methods, discover life values, recognize their inner potential, and move forward with self-assurance.

During the training, teachers learned innovative ways to make learning joyful through games and activities. A total of 34 creative games were introduced — including Seven Up, Passing the Bucket, Seven Fouls Forgiven, Thirsty Kangaroo, Stamping Numbers, and Human Knot. Each of these activities not only added an element of fun but also encouraged teamwork, problem-solving, confidence, and creativity, helping children navigate real-life challenges with ease.

The sessions were led by two expert facilitators from the Dr. K.R. Shroff Foundation, with 29 DCF teachers and team leaders enthusiastically participating. Teachers engaged in every activity themselves, experiencing firsthand how playful learning can effectively teach both academics and essential life skills.

The feedback was heartwarming — teachers shared that the training inspired them to adopt more engaging and innovative teaching approaches in their classrooms. Many expressed excitement about applying these new techniques to make learning more meaningful and enjoyable for their students.

Overall, the initiative was a wonderful step toward making education more interactive, joyful, and holistic, reinforcing our shared mission to empower children through creative learning.
